Afternoon in Howth
Last Sunday we took the train up to Howth, a seaside village known for their seafood and coastal views. When we arrived, just outside of the train station, there was a really nice farmers market. I was drooling over the fresh produce, bread and sweets. Brian had zeroed in on the €5 gourmet burgers and dumplings. But, we resisted our temptations. We did not come to Howth for any of that. We came for the seafood. And there were plenty of fish markets, cafes and restaurants serving fresh seafood. We started lunch by sampling some mussels. And ended with some Fish and Chips (I forgot to take a photo). Both were worth going back for. We walked around and enjoyed the views and people watching. Don't be fooled by the blue sky and sunshine, it was cold! After an enjoyable afternoon of lunch and exploring, we retreated back to the train and to our temporary home. 1.5 weeks left until we move, can't wait!
