Converstations with a 2 year old {Sydney}

The title of this post should technically be "Conversations with an almost 3 year old" but for consistency purposes, it's not.  As Sydney approaches 3 years old, her conversations and vocabulary are becoming more complex, and we are starting to hear back some familiar colloquialisms, which make us giggle. "Just 2 more minutes, then I'll come eat dinner" "I'll be back in 1 minute, stay on the couch, ok?" "I'm going to go hang out with my brother now" Our peanut is obsessed with pink. We just finished week 3 of only wearing pink outfits Brian has been home pretty early the last few weeks and Sydney has been helping him cook dinner, she really enjoys it.  Yesterday, he wasn't home before dinner.  I had everything ready on her plate for her. Me: "Sydney, are you ready for dinner?" Sydney: "I want to help you cook it." Me: "Well, it's cooked already." Sydney: "No, I want...

These first conversations are from before November!  Every morning when we leave for school, Sydney says "Bye bye house, I go to school now". And when we leave school "Bye bye school, I go home now The first day Charlie started school she said "Bye bye school, I go get Charlie now" Sydney loves her baby brother On our drive home from school, when Sydney sees the moon, she points it out.  One day, she didn't see it. Sydney: "Moon sleeping?" Me: "No, I think it's just behind the clouds today" Sydney: "Moon is hiding.  Sun goes night night, moon come out" Helping Dada throw bocce ball Me: "Sydney, can you pick out a book to read tonight?" Sydney: "Two books, Mama.  Is that a deal?  Ok" Jumping in muddy puddles Driving home from school Sydney "Are there pink clouds today Mama?" Me "No, I just see dark clouds" Sydney "Dark clouds.  Are they sleeping?" ...

Some of the things Sydney says these days are just adorable and I don't want to forget them.  Here are a few of my favorite recently. Coloring with Kaia while the adults enjoy some beers On the way to school  Sydney: "I see airplane mama" Me: "Oh, yes there it is. Where do you think it's going?" Sydney: "MarMe and Grandpa Billy's " At school I hear geese and see them flying over us Me: "look Sydney, geese " Sydney: "right there, mama" pointing  Me: "where do you think they are going?" Sydney: "MarMe and Grandpa Billy's " Matching shirt with Dada Sydney is sitting at the dinner table  Me: "Sydney, what's missing?" She isn't sure  Me: "your food is missing " I set down her dinner and leave the room  Sydney: "Mama's missing. Mama's missing "   So many necklaces   Brian gets home from work and Sydn...
