Sydney turned 3 months on September 9th. Part of me can't believe it's been 3 months already but the other part of me feels like it's been forever since she was growing inside my belly.

| Already 3 months old |
This month started off with Sydney's Hebrew Naming Ceremony, and continued to be full of new experiences. Her first earthquake (although she slept right through it), first plane ride (to Portland), first time out of California, first wine tasting - well, she was just along for the ride.
She also found her hands and now always tries to get them in her mouth. Sometimes she gets a few fingers in, but mostly she just sucks on her fist.
One morning she woke up and was extremely good at holding her head up during Tummy Time. I was so shocked, I took photos, videos and she was still going. Ever since then, she has been just as good. Two days ago, she woke up and starting babbling non-stop. She has been babbling since.
She loves looking at trees and leaves and will stare at them for as long as we will let her. She also loves looking at books. She is starting to find things amusing, and we may have heard a little laugh tonight.
Everyone is still commenting on her "big, beautiful eyes", how alert she is, how calm she is and her long fingers.
She knows her mommy and daddy, and since 8ish weeks, gives her daddy a big smile when he gets home from work. Heart melting.
She also continues to be a good sleeper. Fingers crossed that this continues when I go back to work. Speaking of work, I go back on October 1st, and while I am looking forward to using my brain again, having adult conversations, and being productive, I can not imagine leaving Sydney for a full day. It's going to be so hard.
Here are some of my favorite photos from the month:

All tuckered out. Always the debate - do we leave her in the carrier,
or try and transfer her to the crib? |

Proud Grandma's. This is my friend Lindsay's mom and little boy with my mom and Sydney.
Lindsay was my first friend in life, we were born a few weeks apart. Her son was born a few weeks after Sydney.
How cool is that? |

Yesterday, on her 3rd month birthday, we went for a walk with some other mommies who had babies who were all around 7 weeks old. It's amazing to see the difference between them and Sydney - and to think a month ago Sydney was that small, floppy and sleepy.
Two words. Bum Dimples. YES
