Stockholm {The Last Day}

After our first and second day in Stockholm, we had really fallen in love with the city, the people, the lifestyle and the food. Before the trip, our only plan was to spend a day biking (check).  And a day on a boat, exploring the archipelago a bit more.  The boat tours of the archipelago were all day excursions, and we decided that being confined to a boat all day (these were loooong tours, like 8-10 hours) was not what we wanted.  Instead, we decided to take a 30 minute boat ride to the island Fjaderholmarna, which came recommended by several co-workers and friends.

The plan in the morning was to grab some picnic essentials, head to the island and enjoy a nice lunch.  As it was Sunday, the food hall, Ã–stermalms Saluhall, that we planned on going to was closed.  We found the next best thing, a gourmet food shop under one of the big department stores, it worked out perfectly. We chose some Swedish cheese & ham, and instead of a baguette, we got Swedish flatbread crackers to take along with us, among a few other nibbles.
Arriving on Fjaderhomarna - cute husband!
The picnic, amazing Swedish cheese and ham on Swedish crackers and fruit!
As we approached the island, we already knew exactly where we wanted to picnic.  High up on the rocks, away from the crowd and with an amazing view.  We easily found the spot, and it was perfect.  We were ready to relax and enjoy.

Defending Stockholm
After our afternoon on the island, we spent our evening enjoying Stockholm one last time, the way we knew best - on bikes, by the water and admiring the views.
